CORRALEJO
Corralejo
The town and resort of Corralejo is located on the northern tip of Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands, facing the small islet of Lobos (Islote de Lobos). It is placed in the municipality of La Oliva Corralejo is approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) square, making it the largest holiday resort on the island. At its centre Corralejo remains a traditional fishing village. However, there are many new buildings behind and to the side of the town. Along the waterfront there is a promenade that is lined with cafes and restaurants.

From the port there is a regular ferry service to Lanzarote. The beaches in Corralejo are the resort’s major attraction. The area has 7 miles (11 km) of fine sand starting 2 miles (3.2 km) outside of Corralejo, along with some smaller bays along the coast. In addition, there are several miles of sand dunes located nearby, which have been designated as a nature reserve. The waters around Corralejo are clear and an intense shade of blue, but are affected by strong currents. The town’s beaches are somewhat more sheltered and have a band of volcanic rock along the shoreline.
PLAYA JANDIA
Playa Jandia
Jandía is an area and a peninsula covering the whole southwestern part of the island of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands forming the westernmost and the southernmost points on the island. It is mainly mountainous and rocky and has less vegetation than some areas of the island, including palm trees and some plants. The peninsula is entirely in the municipality of Pájara. The peninsula features Fuerteventura’s tallest mountain, Pico de Jandía or Pico de la Zarza, that rises to an elevation of 807 m

Jandía also has a point in the southwest named Punta de Jandía and a touristic spot named Playa Jandía as well as a football/soccer team and Morro Jable in the southcentral part. The northern portion of the peninsula features a five-kilometre isthmus named Istmo de la Pared and this forms the narrowest part of the island. The western coast has some of the most beautiful and sandiest beaches in Fuerteventura and these are also used by surfers.
PUERTO DEL ROSARIO
Puerto del Rosario
Puerto del Rosario is a Canarian municipality in the northern portion of the island of Fuerteventura in the Las Palmas province in the Canary Islands. Puerto del Rosario is also the capital of the island of Fuerteventura since 1835. The population is 28,357. The area is 289.95 km². It is located on the main highway linking north to Puerto del Rosario and southwest to Tuineje, as well as Betancuria. The main industries are agriculture and tourism. Its main highways include FV1 linking to the west coast, including Antigua and Ajuy

and the FV2 linking to its airport to the south and the road north to La Oliva. The Atlantic Ocean is to the west and east, the mountains are in the central part. Farmlands along with barren lands dominate the rest of the municipality, especially along the coastline. The capital has gridded streets and the western part are aligned with street names that are named after Spanish places and the Canary Islands while about 2 km west are named after famous people, the northcentral part are named after places or countries, the northern part are numbered odd and even, other street names are mixed. Residential areas dominate entirely in the west and to the north while some businesses, supermarkets and hotels are to the south and within major roads. Since the 1990s, Puerto del Rosario has a ring road of the by-pass to the west. The beach and its port lies to the east. Barren lands including a desert-like sandy landscape surrounds Puerto del Rosario.
